The Bedrooms

Upstairs are two pretty south facing bedrooms, one a double with a kingsize bed and one a twin.

Wake up in the double room to unspoilt views of Silver Howe, with the early morning sun casting a warm glow on the fell, or watch the tumbling waters of Sour Milk Ghyll from the window seat.

The twin room is warm and cosy with traditional pine furniture. From the window there are views over the courtyard towards Loughrigg Fell or watch the stars at night through the skylight.

All the beds will be made up for your arrival with crisp white linen.

The Lounge

Sun-drenched in the mornings the lounge is a peaceful warm and cosy place to sit at whatever the time of day. It has comfortable leather Chesterfield furniture, a flat screen T.V. and DVD with a choice of literature and movies from the bookcase at the top of the stairs.

The open log fire is a must in the winter to cuddle up in-front of and while away the hours recharging the batteries and re-living the days adventures on the fells.

The Kitchen & Bathroom

With the Rayburn cooker gurgling away it creates a warm and cozy place to sip coffee in the morning or cook slowly in the evening and chat a while over a glass of wine.

Old character pine cupboards, natural stone worktop, lakeland blue flag floors and a kitchen table to put the world to rights over...

Alongside the usual modern requirements of a washing machine, under counter fridge with separate freezer compartment and microwave oven...

Our character bathroom is warmed with underfloor heating and bespoke copper radiator. There are many quaint original features to compliment the bath and shower, a perfect place for a relaxing evening soak.
